The New Orleans Bowl will once again be played at the Superdome in New Orleans Louisiana this December 22, after the one year relocation due to Hurricane Katrina.  New Orleans Bowl tickets are already on sale and fans are going to be flocking to the Big Easy as the city continues to improve physically and socially after last years disaster.  With the city of New Orleans being an attraction to itself, it is only natural that football fans from across the country would want to get their hands on these highly coveted New Orleans Bowl tickets before the game sells out.

Last year the game was relocated to Lafayette, Louisiana at Cajun Field on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette while the Superdome underwent necessary repairs.  In 2005 Southern Mississippi made its second straight appearance and captured its second straight victory in the New Orleans Bowl when they faced off against Arkansas State.  Although they were the consensus favorite over Arkansas State, the Golden Eagles begun the game with fumbles on their first two drives, but they were able to keep the game close and really turn it on in the second half and take control of the game.  Golden Eagles QB Dustin Almond was able to hook up with Shawn Nelson for a couple key touchdowns that put them firmly into the driver’s seat late in the game.

Running since 2001, the New Orleans Bowl pits the Sun Belt Conference Champion against a Conference USA opponent.  Southern Mississippi is one of the early favorites who would love the chance to “three-peat” at the New Orleans Bowl, but the other teams of Conference USA will not go away quietly.  Their conference is sure to be hotly contested up until the last day of the regular NCAA college football season.  On the other side of the ball the Sun Belt Conference has seen recent dominance by North Texas, but the early favorites this year are Louisiana-Lafayette and Troy.  Arkansas would love a chance at redemption this year, but they must first prove that they can take care of things within their own conference before they have a chance at doing so.

The city of New Orleans and its residents cherish tradition, and the importance of this bowl game is sure to flourish in years to come as the country embraces everything that the bold spirit of New Orleans embodies.  The fight and resiliency of the city’s residents will be evident on the field as the teams that participate in the New Orleans Bowl fight just as hard for that much desired bowl victory that every player wants to carry with himself for the rest of his football career.

Bowl season is the highlight of the year for any college football fan and the extra incentive to support the ravaged city of New Orleans will undoubtedly draw additional fans to the game this year.  The reopening of the Louisiana Superdome is sure cause New Orleans Bowl tickets to be among the highest selling of all the bowl tickets across the country and the best way for you to be part of all the action is to get yours early by allowing us to get those hard to find tickets for you right now.
