Take a look at the 2005 college football season. The Crimson Tide rattled off 9 straight wins to start the season. Beginning the season with a 26-7 win over Middle Tennessee State in Bryant-Denny the Tide welcomed Southern Miss in Week 2 and sent them home with a 30-21 loss. After topping the Gamecocks in South Carolina 30-21 to start their SEC schedule, Alabama met up with Arkansas and dealt the Razorbacks a 24-13 loss. All eyes were on Bryant-Denny Stadium as the Tide hosted #5 ranked Florida. Alabama quarterback Brodie Croyle had a field day, passing for 283 yards and three touchdowns as the Tide rolled over the Gators 31-3. Things were heating up and the Tide continued their domination in the SEC with a 13-10 win over Mississippi followed by a 6-3 squeaker over Tennessee. By the time Alabama knocked off Utah State and Mississippi State they had compiled a 7-0 record in the conference and were knocking on the door of an SEC Championship.

Unfortunately for Alabama football fans it didn’t happen. The LSU Tigers came into Bryant Denny and hung the first loss on the Tide, leaving with a 16-13 win. The following week it was Auburn’s turn to ruin the Tide’s day, sending Alabama home with another loss as they topped the Tide 28-18. Still, the Alabama Crimson Tide ticket holders lined up early for their Cotton Bowl tickets. Facing the Texas Tech Red Raiders, and tied at 10 in the final seconds of the game, the Tide lined up for a 45 yard field goal attempt. Kicker Jamie Christensen hit a sluggish, wobbly kick that just managed to split the uprights and give the Tide a Cotton Bowl victory. Another great finish to another great Alabama football game.

2006 Alabama Crimson Tide tickets will once again be top dogs in the SEC. The Crimson Tide will welcome both Hawaii and Auburn to Bryant Denny, along with Duke and Mississippi State. On the road, the Tide will be looking at SEC opponents like LSU, Arkansas, and Tennessee. How will they handle it? Well, running back Kenneth Darby is one of the best runners in the SEC. Darby topped 1,200 yards in his last campaign. But he’s not Alabama’s only weapon. Fellow running back Jimmy Johns and freshman Roy Upchurch are both coming into their own. Look for speedy wide receiver Tyrone Prothro to regain his position as one of the top receivers in the SEC as he comes back from a leg injury. Don’t doubt it: Alabama Crimson Tide tickets are great college football tickets.
